Anyone playing can change these between games (with nobody suited up, anybody can - that sets up a house game). Versus = people on both sides (the house fills the rest). Co-op = everybody on one team against the house. Pick-up = sit wherever you like on either side, hit Ready, and the house fills every empty seat the moment everybody's ready. Practice = two skaters against a goalie and center. League auto-start off means the next league game waits on its button in the lobby instead of starting by itself after a minute.

With the puck: A pass (to the teammate you point at), B shoot (tap = wrister, hold = slapshot), C burst, D deke (pulls the puck out to the side you're pushing - it beats a poke check because the puck really isn't there any more; costs legs and has a moment's wait). Without it: A switch player, B = body check (the faster you're going, the harder), B with a pass coming = one-timer, C held on the carrier = hook (he slows down - if the ref sees it, that's a penalty). Hit him from behind or after he's let it go and you'll likely sit. Fights: tap B to punch, hold C to grab. In goal (penalty shots, shootouts, or with Goalie set to You - press A when the puck is near your net): push to slide, hold C for the butterfly, B poke check. Shootouts after a tied overtime: three shooters each, then sudden death. Faceoffs: press B the moment the puck drops. Enter = chat. Xbox pad: X / A / B are A / B / C, Y dekes, triggers burst. P pulls your own goalie for a sixth skater (press it again to put him back) - the house does it for itself when it is a goal or two down in the last of the third.
